First Word!!

Last night, just 11 days shy of his first birthday, Ryan said his very first real word! The word was.......

UH OH!!

Here's the context:

After several attempts to distract Ryan with a multitude of toys and books, he decided he would have none of it and pulled himself up onto our entertainment center *for the fiftieth time* where he found some stacked DVDs. He then decided to test the limits of gravity (and mommy's patience) by pushing all the DVDs onto the floor *for the fiftieth time*. When they all crashed down *for the fiftieth time*, I walked over to him and said "Uh Oh Ryan!" and out came a tiny "uh oh!" - clear.as.day!!!

And I proceeded to dissolve into a puddle on the floor for my little is getting to be not so little anymore! :)

Dear Future Self,

I really don't want you to forget this on the days when Ryan is acting all crazy and your patience with life is wearing thin. Today, when you were at the store picking out a birthday card for Ryan, you started crying at all of the sappy cards. Enjoy these days with your littles as they are so very precious.
