Not What I Envisioned.......

Picture this scene if you will.......

A husband walks through the door after work and surprises his wonderful, breathtakingly beautiful wife with a gift certificate he'd won for a 30 minute massage from a real masseuse.

Wife shrieks with delight and throws her arms around her husband's neck and quickly makes an appointment with the masseuse.

:Skip forward a few days:

Wife has a long, tiring day at work and is really looking forward to a massage at the end of the day. She walks into the office and sees a doctor there with the masseuse and she stop dead.in.her.tracks.

You see, the masseuse was actually a pa-sseuse! And not only that, he was a GRANDPA-sseuse!

Let's just say "relaxing" wasn't the first item on the wife's agenda anymore.

He leads her into the massage room and points out the hooks for hanging her belongings and says he'll give her a few minutes to "figure out her clothes" and he'll be back. She proceeds to throw up in her mouth a little.

He comes back a few minutes later and completes the massage. Luckily, he's a Christian so he and the wife talk about godly parenting and discipline and he recounts the tale of how he got into massage therapy after being laid off from his job several years ago......when he was 64....... :s He was a bit chatty, so what started out to be a 30 minute massage, turned into a 60 minute full body massage. :/

After the massage, he left the room and the wife put her clothes back on faster than it takes Apolo Ohno to skate once around a short track. She spied a bottle of rubbing alcohol on a shelf and debated splashing it all over her body, but decided against it, as it would have really dried out her skin when combined with the winter weather conditions.

When the darling husband arrived home from work, the wife wondered aloud if he knew about this particular Grandpa-sseuse and, after a hearty laugh, assured her he had no idea. She wonders if that is why he was so quick to give away the gift certificate.......

So that was my massage day - how was YOUR day??? :-)

At least he gave you the certificate. I remember a few years ago Adam and Dennis were out bidding each other for a massage gift certificate at the church auction. Adam felt guilty until he found out Dennis wasn't going to give it to you but use it himself. =)
